Innovative machine concepts for accurate precision surface finishing
Innovative machine concepts, particularly in the field of special machines for flat optics, are a speciality of FLP Microfinishing GmbH, which numbers among the biggest manufacturers of precision grinding, lapping and polishing machines in Europe.
Präzision Made in Germany
“We are the only systems provider in Germany to be able to deliver the full range of products for the industrial precision grinding, lapping and polishing of flat surfaces from our own company,” says Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Thomas Rehfeldt, sole proprietor and managing director of FLP Microfinishing. “We have developed a consistent machine concept from the standard machines through to custom machines for large-scale and series production.” Individual machine designs include the design and optimisation of critical component through to partially or fully automated solutions. The range of machines is complemented by modern and innovative concepts in systems technology for component cleaning and measurement technology in order to also be able to verify the standards for surfaces in the Å sector.
The SINGLE PRECISION machine series for one-sided machining with its sizes and tool diameters from 400 mm to 5600 mm and the HIGH PRECISION machine series for double-sided machining with its sizes and tool diameters from 540 mm to 1300 mm are the result of continuous developments over many years of operation in engineering.
FLP HIGH PRECISION with full automation
Precision grinding, lapping and polishing on high-precision twin-disc machines with maximum rigidity and vibration-reducing designs distinguish the world’s newest design in the FLP HIGH PRECISION module series. High machining capacities, the highest surface finishes and accuracies, short process times and reliability thanks to ingenious optimisations are the main benefits of this series.
The rigid portal design using the strongly damping material granite and the enclosed guidance system guarantee absolute smoothness with no oscillation and vibration of the components. Thermally stable tool carriers, wear-free special bearings and active flushing of the micro-gap form the basis for the new processes.
FLP Microfinishing has continually built on its own know-how and, in recent years, has developed into a systems provider with tight links between machine construction, mechanical engineering, tool development and micromachining and international trade around the world.
